Swarm train hard for final game

Date published: 09 October 2008

The Rochdale Swarm, after a disappointing result against Championship contenders Leigh MB XIII in their penultimate fixture of the 2008 season, have been buckling down to some serious training in preparation for their final fixture on 25 October at the South Leeds Stadium, home to pro club the Hunslet Hawks.

The Rochdale outfit have been going over to Huddersfield in a Wednesday night Touch Rugby Competition and have moved their regular training to 11.00am Sunday morning on Firgrove - where anyone interested in becoming involved with the Swarm is welcome to attend. It is hoped for a good showing in their final fixture to cap what has been an amazing season for the Hornets Supporters' team.

The Swarm have been busy off the field as well, making preparations for their end of season Presentation Night, which is on Saturday 18 October at the Firgrove Working Mens Club. The event will feature a Live Act and music, hot food and the team prizes will be presented by a Hornets Star.

Tickets are available from the Swarm at £5 for adults and £3 juniors.
