Tough game ahead for Milnrow & Newhey
Date published: 09 October 2008
Milnrow & Newhey ARLFC have a tricky home fixture on Saturday (11 October) against the Blackpool Scorpions.
The Rochdale side's squad will be tested with several players out through injury and work commitments but Coach Alex Butterworth is more than confident his charges have the ability to see off the challenge from the seasiders and keep their lead on top of the division.
The club would like to thank Steven Ashworth at Apex Logistics, Woodbine St East, for his sponsorship of the fixture.
A spokesman for the club said: "In these difficult financial times sponsors like Apex Logistics help keep amateur sport alive and the Milnrow based club really appreciate the help from its friends and sponsors, especially Firgrove Working mens Club who are opening prior to the fixture for spectators and for supplying the Man of the Match awards."
