Dale lose another member of backroom staff
Date published: 26 September 2008
Following the tragic death of Rochdale's sports scientist Paul Conway, the club have lost another member of their backroom staff, only this time in much happier circumstances.
Club masseur James Barrow, son of former Rochdale manager Graham, has been poached to take up a job with Premier League side Bolton Wanderers.
Dale boss Keith Hill told the club's official website: "Jimmy was a massive part of our team and was much more than a masseur.
"It does leave us a little depleted but myself and Dave [Flitcroft, Dale's assistant boss] have done it before on our own so we will do it again until we get the right people to continue the work that Jimmy and Paul Conway started. We are very much a team and people coming in have got to be part of our team. We will obviously be looking to bring people in and it is important that we do so because myself and Dave are doing everything again!
"It is another loss but as Flicker always says it is a pat on the back for the people that we have recruited. Jimmy goes with our best wishes and it's back to basics now for myself and Dave."
