Boxing: Leevan Fong Junior reaches semi-finals of England Boxing National Schools Championships

Littleborough ABC’s Leevan Fong Junior has advanced to the next stage of the England Boxing National Schools Championships.
14-year-old Leevan, the North West champion for the 62-65kg weight category, took on the Midlands champion Martin Smith, of Priory Park. Martin received a standing eight count in the first bout before Leevan won by unanimous decision.
Leevan, a student at St Cuthbert’s RC High School, has been boxing since he was eight, and has been a member of Littleborough ABC for a few years.
He will next fight in the semi-finals, opponent to be determined, on 25/26 September.
