Rochdale Swarm in weekend action
Rochdale Hornets supporters team, The Rochdale Swarm, are in action over the weekend when they take on the Wakefield City Webcats in a Tag Merit League fixture.
The Swarm, despite missing several players due to holiday and work commitments, are in the enviable position of still having a full squad to pick from.
In what should be a tight game with the Swarm being fifth in the league, one place above the Wakefield outfit, the Hornets supporters team is keen to avenge an early season defeat to the Yorkshire men.
The Swarm players are asked to meet at 10.15am on Sunday at Firgrove.
The Swarm will be unveiling their new kit as well on Sunday which is a modern take on the Rochdale Hornets 1922 cup winning jersey. The kit, which was paid for through The National Lottery grant the Swarm were awarded earlier this year, carries the National Lottery Logo as part of the grant qualification rules.
October is going to be a busy month for the Swarm as they are running a trip to the Engage Super League Grand Final on 4 October.
18 October sees the Swarm's presentation night and 25 October has the Swarm playing at The South Leeds Stadium, home of the Hunslet Hawks, in an end of season festival
