Milnrow & Newhey kick off home season

Milnrow & Newhey Rugby League FC have their first home fixture of the season against Latchford Albion "A" tomorrow (Saturday 13 September) at Firgrove, Milnrow with a 2.30pm Kick Off. (Players to meet at 1.00pm at Firgrove).

Milnrow & Newhey are able to welcome back several players who were unavailable last week and with Latchfords first team also in action the Milnrow side are upbeat about their prospects against the Warrington based outfit.

Training has gone well with the new training venues of Hollingworth High School indoor sports facility being utilised alongside Balderstone's Astroturf. The new locations allow for all weather training either indoors or under floodlights. 

Coach Alex Butterworth is keen for even more players to get along to the new training venues and says if anyone wants a run out with the club to get down between 7pm & 8pm to either Hollingworth High or Balderstone.

Milnrow and Newhey are also hopeful of the usual good following of supporters and Firgrove Working Mens Club will be open for fans to have a drink before and after the game.
