Judo: Luke Giller wins gold and becomes black belt 1st Dan

Luke Giller, of Rochdale Judo Club, won a gold medal in the over 100kg category at the NW Area Opens on Sunday, 25 February.
Winning all his fights with ippon, Luke also went on to win all his contests in the Dan grading and came away with his 1st Dan (Black Belt).
Adey Bates put up a very good show in the master class and came away with a silver medal.
Dave Hulme won a bronze medal in the under 90kg category.
Andy Parkin also won a bronze medal in his weight category
A spokesperson for Rochdale Judo Club said: “The star of the day was Luke Giller.
"Well done guys from all at Rochdale Judo Club.”
