Over 300 youngsters from 27 different primary schools across Rochdale Borough will take part in the Rochdale AFC Inaugural Year 1 Schools Cup Tournament at Spotland on Friday (20 May).
The football festival event is designed to give every Year 1 pupil in Rochdale the chance to say 'I played at Spotland'.
In addition, it will provide the opportunity for the Rochdale AFC Academy to spot the most talented Year 1 footballers and promote the club's educational and community pathways.
All children will receive a medal for taking part and the winners will be presented with a trophy.
