Colchester United v Rochdale

Rochdale make the long trip to Essex this weekend to face Colchester United in the final game of the 2015-16 campaign.

A victory on Sunday would see Dale secure their highest ever League 1 points tally, with the side currently just two points short of the 68 points target, which was set in the 2010-11 season.

Assistant Manager Chris Beech is looking for the players to give everything they've got one last time. He said: “This team sits in a position where, if we can give everything we’ve got one more time and approach the Colchester game with a real intensity and energy, then we can amass a point’s value that will surpass any previous squads. We’ve had some unbelievable talents that have represented us and gone on to earn the club money, and this group are currently in a positive position to surpass all of the past."

This week, Colchester, who have been relegated to League Two, announced the appointment of John McGreal as first-team coach following the departure of Kevin Keen.

Assistant Manager Chris Beech will take charge on Sunday's game against Colchester United. Keith Hill will unfortunately be absent due to a family matter.
