Rochdale Online Alliance Football League

Date published: 21 March 2016

Good Friday sees the first of the Rochdale Online Alliance Football League’s cup finals as Balderstone take on Rochdale Asia in the Alletson & Mitchell Memorial Trophy Final at Fox Park, home of Rochdale Sacred Heart; kick off 11am.

Rochdale Asia will be strong favourites having won all sixteen games played this season, including a league double over Balderstone. However, when the two sides met in the group stage of the trophy only the odd goal in nine separated them, indicating that on their day Balderstone are well capable of an upset.

Both sides had hat trick heroes to thank in the semi-finals; Matt Nokes for Balderstone in a 4-1 win over Wardle OB, and Omar Malik as Rochdale Asia cruised past Fothergill & Whittles 2nds 4-0.

Admission on the day is £2 adults and £1 concessions, and it is hoped a decent crowd will turn out and make the most of Rochdale Sacred Heart’s extensively upgraded facilities.

There is limited parking space available at Fox Park due to development work so spectators are advised to park within walking distance of the ground.
