Inaugural match in new Pennine Cricket League

Date published: 11 March 2016

The inaugural match in the new Pennine Cricket League will be played at Milnrow CC's Ladyhouse ground on Saturday 23 April.

The league has been born out of the Central Lancashire and Saddleworth and District leagues, and last season's champions in those leagues - Norden and Saddleworth - will feature in a 40-overs per side challenge, start 1.00pm.

It is hoped this charity clash will become an annual event.

Proceeds this year will go to CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in memory of Tom Hardman.

Tickets will shortly be available at Pennine League clubs, and the donation is £2 per ticket.

Admission on the day will be £3.
