Motorcyclist injured in collision

Date published: 14 August 2012

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Middleton.

Shortly before midday on Friday 10 August 2012, a red Renault Clio was involved in a collision with a black Honda CBR at the junction of Manchester Old Road and Boardman Lane.

The CBR was being ridden by a 40-year-old man.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious leg injury and remains in a stable condition.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses as well as the owner of a white Mercedes Sprinter van – that had the word ‘Dunlops’ on the side - that was parked near to the scene of the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 8473.
