Middleton date for comic Lee Mack

Date published: 14 August 2009

One of Britain’s top comedians has added a date in Middleton to his national tour next year.

BAFTA-winning stand-up Lee Mack will visit the Middleton Arena on Sunday 31 January.

In addition to his critically acclaimed live shows, the writer and performer is probably best known to television audiences for his starring role in BBC1’s hit sitcom ‘Not Going Out’.

As well as a resident team captain on ‘Would I Lie To You? (BBC1), Mack’s credits also include ‘Have I Got News For You’ (BBC1) and ‘The Sketch Show’ (ITV1). He has hosted ‘They Think It’s All Over’ (BBC1) and headlined ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC1).

An award-winning stand-up, Mack’s last tour was a sell-out, nominated for a British Comedy Award, recorded for DVD, and broadcast on Channel 4 earlier this year.

A nominee for the prestigious Perrier Award, he has also won a Time Out Best Live Comedy Award and the Best Stand-Up award at the Loaded LAFTAS.

Mack will be bringing his trademark brand of high energy banter, well crafted gags and sharp one-liners to the Middleton Arena at 8pm on Sunday 31 January.

Tickets are available now from www.seetickets.com or 0871 230 0010, or in person at the arena box office.
