Langley Sure Start Children’s Centre and Cloverleaf Childcare are celebrating after they were awarded ICan level 2 enhanced status.
The children’s centre early years team and Cloverleaf childcare staff have worked together to gain this accreditation and have shown evidence that as a team with parents, the centre on Windermere Road, Langley can support the communication development of children in their care.
A spokesperson for Langley Children’s Centre said: “The Children’s Centre team, parents and children are very proud of this achievement and have just received their new certificate. We are committed to encouraging speech and language skills for all the children who attend the centre and provide a vast range of activities and sessions to support this.”
ICAN is the Children’s Communication Charity. They work to develop speech, language and communication skills in all children and families and have a special focus on children who find communication difficult.
