Featherstall Road in Littleborough was closed for two hours last night (14 August) after a car overturned outside the Royal Exchange pub; injuring a pedestrian.
Police were called to the scene at 7.30pm, where a blue Volkswagen Passat had hit a traffic island and rolled onto its roof. A 19-year-old female was stood on the island at the time and was taken to Oldham Royal Hospital complaining of back pain.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “This was a minor injury accident. Both the driver and pedestrian required medical treatment but nobody was injured.
“At worst one party suffered a broken finger, however, we’re unsure as to whether this was the driver or pedestrian’s injury.”
