Cash injection for farmers' market

The Littleborough Farmers Market in November 2010
Littleborough Farmers' Market has received a boost in the form of a £1,000 Township Grant from Rochdale Council.
Each Township was allocated £5,000 to spend on festivals and events to extend the Feel Good Festival Boroughwide.
Other Pennine Township events to benefit include Littleborough Rushbearing Festival and Milnrow, Newhey and District Carnival.
Following a successful trial in November, the Littleborough Farmers' Market will take place on the second Sunday of each month until November, starting from Sunday 13 March.
The event is organised by Littleborough Events and Associations Forum (LEAF).
Steve Lister, Chairman of LEAF, said:"We are extremely grateful to the Pennines Township for supporting this event. We have had an overwhelming response from traders who wish to take part and the market will be even bigger and better than the one we held in November."
