Rochdale Boroughwide Housing tenants from across the borough will come together for their new look Tenants' Conference next week. The event takes place on Monday 22 November at Rochdale Town Hall. Tenants from all parts of the borough are invited. The conference enables tenants to discuss issues that are important to them, and to meet up with other tenants from across Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood and the Pennines.
New this year is a chance to ask questions of MPs Lorna Fitzsimons and Phil Woolas. Tenants should come with their thinking caps on too, to discuss topics including:
- The Local Strategic Partnership
- How to improve the way RBH consults its tenants
- Finding funding
- Keeping estates clean and Green
- HomeChoice - the new system for getting a home in the Borough
There will be display stalls from more than 20 organisations from across the borough, including Women into Work, the Family Support Unit, Streetcred, the Fire Brigade and the Citizens' Advice Bureau.
And before the conference, Housing Market Renewal's Big Red Bus will be parked outside the Town Hall giving people an opportunity to give their ideas for the next phase and how it might affect them.
We are looking forward to an exciting and worthwhile day, so if you are a tenant of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, please make sure you have your booking in! To find out more information call 01706 273820.
