Motorbike Tragedy

Officers in Littleborough were called to a fatal road traffic collision late last night, Tuesday 2 November 2004 after a motorcycle was in a collision with a wall.
At approximately 11.30pm a 33-year-old man from North Allerton in Yorkshire was driving a motorbike along Rakewood Road. Upon approaching the junction with Hollingwood Road it is believed the man lost control of the motorbike and collided with a wall.
He sustained fatal head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lake Bank was closed at the junction with Higher Cleggswood Avenue and the A58 Halifax Road was closed at the junction with Hollingworth Road until approximately 4.00am.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
