Jimmy Cricket given Lifetime Achievement Award

Comedian Jimmy Cricket has been given a Lifetime Achievement Award for his charity work.
Jimmy, whose real name is James Joseph Mulgrew, was given the accolade at a special luncheon this afternoon (Tuesday 20 October), attended by family and friends, including comedian Ken Dodd.
Speaking about the award, Jimmy said: “I am overwhelmed and thrilled skinny. It is an honour that my adopted town of Rochdale has given me this award. It is excellent and I am thrilled.”
Presenting Jimmy with the award, Deputy Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Ray Dutton stated that meeting Jimmy was on his bucket listed and added: “It is an honour to present you with this today and thank your for all that you have done.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award is in recognition of Jimmy’s outstanding career in the world of entertainment and his personal contribution and support to local and national charitable organisations.
