Man Assaulted in Rochdale

Police in Rochdale are appealing for information after a man was assaulted on Spotland Road near to Clarkes Lane in the Falinge area on the morning of Tuesday 2 March 2004.
At approximately 11.15am the 24 year old man parked his car on Spotland Road to go into a local shop and as he was locking the car door he was hit over the back of the head with a bladed weapon. The offender then left the scene.
The victim, who is from the Littleborough area, suffered a cut to the back of his head and went to the Rochdale Infirmary for treatment. Nothing was stolen in the incident and no description of the offender is available.
