Massive blaze in Caldershaw

This evening (Wednesday 25 June) there was a massive blaze outside SS Logistics, Caldershaw Centre, Caldershaw.
The company cleans and redistributes plastic crates and pallets. Hundreds of these crates were set alight just outside the premises resulting in a tremendous fire with thick dense smoke pouring over a large area, the fire was only yards away from nearby houses on Stocksgate.
Fire crews from Rochdale and Heywood quickly brought the blaze under control but not before a vast quantity of these pallets were destroyed.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
