Children enjoy Littleborough Christmas Kids Festival

Date published: 11 December 2014

Littleborough children and their families were given a festive treat at a Christmas Kids Festival that took place at Hare Hill House.

Janine Rez organised the event as she was very keen to give something to children around Christmas festivities and raise money for a charity close to her heart - The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Janine organised a kid’s tombola, guess the name of the Christmas Ted, a raffle and sold balloons to raise a fantastic £350 for the charity.

The children enjoyed interactive cupcake decorating, Christmas craft making, face painting, Captain Jack Sparrow and photo snap opportunities, hook a duck, lots of stalls and Santa with his elf ready to meet and greet children on the day with a bucket full of goodies.

Volunteers, families, friends, local residents, visitors and local businesses all came together to help with donations of time, gifts, entertainment and support.

Janine said "It has been fantastic and watching the hum and the buzz in Hare Hill House was so moving. Communities came together and had a wonderful day."
