Carols and Christingles for all the family at St Andrew’s
With Christmas fast approaching we are heading for one of the busiest periods of the Church year, highlighted by the Christmas Eve Sung Eucharist. Please note that while this special service is commonly known as 'Midnight' it will start at 11.00pm.
Other Christmas events in Church are as follows:
- Saturday, December 20 (6pm): A concert by Littleborough Band, tickets for which cost £5 (for band funds) and are available from Elizabeth Woodhead.
- Sunday, December 21 (6.00pm): A St Andrew's Candlelit Carol Service with brass band, organ and choir.
- Christmas Eve (4pm): Carols and Christingles for all the family with the Nativity story told by puppets.
- Christmas Eve (11pm): 'Midnight' Eucharist.
- Christmas Day (9.30am): Sung Eucharist.
- Sunday, December 28 (9am): Said Eucharist, followed at 10.15am by a joint Carol Service at St Andrew's with Wardle Village Church and Dearnley Methodists.
The parish rota for our 9.30am Sung Eucharist this coming Sunday, December 14 is: lay assistants, C Longhurst, J Halstead; readers, C Longhurst, C Longhurst; Intercessions, S Knight; sidespersons, G Kilpatrick, M Sheridan; refreshments, Gillian K, Vera, Dorothy.
