The Star Tree Studio crowned Rochdale’s hidden gem

Date published: 08 December 2014

The Star Tree Studio in Littleborough has been crowned Rochdale’s hidden gem.

The creative studio, located on Victoria Street, was named Rochdale’s hidden gem after members of the public voted for the studio in a competition run by Blue Orchid.

Speaking about winning the award, Neela Jackson, Manager of the Star Tree Studio, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won the award. Obviously it is down to all of our customers and supporters who have helped us and supported us over the last year. It is nice to receive the recognition and we feel that this is a good boost for us going into 2015.”

The Star Tree Studio will be celebrating its second birthday in March 2015 and Neela is hoping that the award helps the business have a good second year.

She added: “Hopefully the award draws attention to us a bit more and attracts more people to the studio. We are located in an accessible place for people who want to come to us by car or by public transport so I hope the award lets more people know about us.”

After being crowned the borough’s hidden gem, Neela is hoping to expand what the studio offers in 2015.

“We have a lot of new and exciting ideas planned for 2015. We are hoping to introduce more activities and sessions in the studio and are hoping to broaden our client base a bit more. We would like to attract more people from other parts of the borough to the studio. We would also like the retail side of the business to pick up a bit more and see the website pick up,” added Neela.

Located in the heart of Littleborough, The Star Tree Studio provides high quality, fun and educational arts and craft activities to children from six months to 12-years-old.

Neel added: “I do think it is good for Littleborough to have got this award. Obviously Littleborough is the tourism part of the borough so I do think awards like this help put Littleborough on the map but like I said, it is about us moving forward into 2015 and providing more activities for our customers.”
