Has Rochdale Town Centre got the borough's dirtiest road sign?

Date published: 14 November 2014

A road sign in Rochdale Town Centre has gathered attention for being possibly the dirtiest sign in Rochdale.

The sign, which is located opposite Touchstones and approximately 200 yards from the Town Hall, has been described as “filthy” and “off putting” by local residents.

Mark Widdup, Director of Economy and Environment at Rochdale Council, said: “The trees and bushes in Broadfield Park often leave dirt and tree sap on the nearby road signs. We endeavour to clean these regularly and will ensure that this sign gets cleaned as soon as possible.”
