Northern Rail drivers to strike
Date published: 14 November 2014
Northern Rail drivers have voted for strike action in a row over pay.
Strikes will take place on Friday 21 November and Thursday 27 November.
Trade union Aslef (Associated Society of Locomotive Steam Enginemen and Firemen) said members voted by four to one in favour of industrial action, in a turnout of 82%.
Operator Northern Rail said it was "disappointed" by the vote for strike action as the firm had made "a very good pay offer of 2.7% in 2014".
