Five people charged with trafficking

Five people have been charged after a pregnant woman was trafficked into the UK to be 'sold' into a sham marriage.

Mohammed Ali (17/03/74) of Ashfield Road, Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery/servitude and conspiracy to intentionally arrange/facilitate entry into the UK/other country of a person with a view to their exploitation.

Hateji Yakuyb (26/05/57) of Ashfield Road, Rochdale has been charged with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery/servitude and conspiracy to intentionally arrange/facilitate entry into the UK/other country of a person with a view to their exploitation.

Anna Cicakova (01/01/80) of Wesley Street, Failsworth, has been charged with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery/servitude and conspiracy to intentionally arrange/facilitate entry into the UK/other country of a person with a view to their exploitation.

Malik Ramzan (06/05/87) of Wesley Street, Failsworth, has been charged with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery/servitude and conspiracy to intentionally arrange/facilitate entry into the UK/other country of a person with a view to their exploitation.

Rehman Ghani (05/01/75) of St Heliers Drive, Cheetam Hill, has been charged with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery/servitude and conspiracy to intentionally arrange/facilitate entry into the UK/other country of a person with a view to their exploitation.

In addition, three men were dealt with by Immigration for overstaying their Visas.

All five people charged have been remanded in custody to appear before Rochdale and Bury Magistrates Court on 14 November 2014.
