Rochdale Round Table donates £2,500 to the Gaddum Centre

Rochdale Round Table have donated £2,500 to the Gaddum Centre to help their support for families with a child in palliative care and bereaved children work.

Staff from the Gaddum Centre showed Christian Morris and Danny Williams from the Round Table around their new offices and playroom.

Sara, whose daughter Scarlett died at eight week old shared her experiences with the visiting guests and discussed the support offered to her by Jet Haigh from the centre after her loss.

Sara will soon be training to be a volunteer with the Let’s Talk Programme which offers counselling across Rochdale.

In Rochdale, the Gaddum Centre provides bereavement counselling to those who need it. The centre offers a free service in your own home or at the centres Rochdale base.

The Rochdale Round Table is all about making friends, having fun, trying things you've not done before and putting something back into the local community. The group organise a few events each year which vary. Raising money is often secondary – what really matters is that the round table get involved with local communities, putting something back, and making a difference locally.
