Feel Good Festival: Oakenhoof Dancers and the Black Nan Band
Date published: 29 August 2014
The Oakenhoof Dancers and the Black Nan Band, from Littleborough, took to the community stage today (Friday 29 August) as part of the Feel Good Festival.
The dancers, who have been together for six months, provided the growing the audience with clog dancing and singing with the Black Nan Band providing music.
Paul Woodhead, from the group, said: “We thought it would be good to get involved with the festival as a way of showing off what we do and as a way of trying to expand as well by telling people a bit more about us.”
This is the group’s first appearance at the Feel Good Festival, having started their group in February.
Paul added: “It went really well. We all enjoyed it and the people watching looked like they were having a good time.
“To us it doesn’t matter how big the event is, as long as we can show off what we can do, then we’ll do it.”
