The Rochdale Multiple Sclerosis Society held a summer fair yesterday (Saturday 16 August) as a way of raising money for the group.
The fair, held at Hebron Hall in Rochdale, included a number of stalls such as home made cakes, cards, toys, books, bric-a-brac and a children’s stall.
Anne Malley, from the society, said: “We wanted to hold the event to raise money for the society as well as raising awareness of MS.”
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition which affects around 100,00 people across the UK.
The Rochdale branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society aims to offer help and support to those in the borough suffering with MS.
Money raised from the fair will help the group fund trips for their members.
Anne added: “We are hoping to organise a trip to Salford Quays for the members. Doing these trips just helps people get out and do things.”
