Record A-level results

Date published: 14 August 2014

Rochdale students celebrated their A-level results today (Thursday 14 August), in what was another record year for the borough.

More pupils than ever took A-levels and the average number of points per candidate rose to a record high of 820.1, up from 798.1 in 2013.

More than 500 students were given their results at Rochdale Sixth Form College, Cardinal Langley RC and St Anne’s Academy.

Councillor Donna Martin, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: "I am delighted that so many of the borough’s students have achieved such outstanding results. Their efforts reflect the highest standards of teaching and learning in our schools and colleges, and show just how effectively Rochdale is raising achievement and expectations for our young people."
