Holly Withington releases first single

Date published: 14 August 2014

Singer Holly Withington, who won the 2009 Wheatsheaf Centre Xmas Factor competition, has released her first single.

Holly, who wowed the judges at the Rochdale Town Centre singing competition, has now left an impression on music label, Music Entourage who have signed her and released her first single, Stars Burning Out.

Released on iTunes, Stars Burning Out is a track that caters to the singer-songwriter’s powerful voice and is guaranteed to have the hairs on the back of your neck tingling.

Holly said: “I am extremely grateful for all of the support I am receiving from family and friends with the release of my song. I have worked incredibly hard to achieve this single release and know I will need to work a thousand times harder in order to make it to the top.

“I appreciate everyone’s help and support and hope that one day I can achieve great success. I would not be able to do what I have without everyone’s help and effort.”

Martin Ballard, the centre manager of the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre at the time of Holly’s Xmas Factor success, said: “To see Holly's name come up when you type it into iTunes is really overwhelming. So many talented singers do not get opportunities like this and it's clear when you listen to this track that Holly has taken it with both hands - she's a credit to her family and a credit to the borough of Rochdale.”

Stars Burning Out is available through iTunes now.
