Date published: 08 August 2014
The family who were caught up in a fire at their house this morning (Friday 8 August) have been given the all clear by doctors.
Charlene Bowker, whose house was damaged by the fire, contacted Rochdale Online and said: “Just wanted you to know we are all safe and well. We have been given the all clear.”
Unfortunately as a result of the fire, the family home has been damaged beyond repair.
Charlene added: “My house has been destroyed.”
Charlene also thanked the fire service for their help with the blaze.
Fire crews were called to the house on Holborn Street at 2.35am to reports that a fire had broken out in the bathroom. Charlene’s five year old daughter was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure for slight affects of smoke inhalation.
