Five-year-old girl rescued from house fire
Date published: 08 August 2014
A five-year-old girl was rescued from a house fire and taken to hospital this morning (Friday 8 August).
She was “conscious and breathing” but an ambulance was requested as a precaution and the girl was taken to hospital for effects of slight smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were called to a semi-detached house on Holborn Street, Rochdale at 2.35am to reports that a fire had broken out in the bathroom.
Two crews from Rochdale attended the scene and quickly extinguished the fire. A fan was later used to clear the property of smoke.
