Police News - Rochdale North

Two males have been charged with Section 18 Assault and has appeared in Rochdale and Bury Magistrates Court this week.

A male was held in custody in relation to a robbery that occurred on Lincoln Street, Rochdale on 4 August 2014.

A male is currently on police bail to re-appear 14 August, Rochdale Police Station, pending further enquiries in relation to criminal damage to a motor vehicle that occurred 3 August 2014. It alleged he “keyed” his brother’s vehicle during an argument.

Burglary – Garages under flats on College Bank Way, Falinge, Rochdale between 10:00am 29 July and 9:00am 30 July.

Unknown offender/s forced open an up and over metal shutter door and entered the garage (garage was full of bike parts). They stole nothing.

Theft of a vehicle – Taylor Street, Rochdale, 2:15pm on 2 July.
The victim returned home parking his vehicle outside his home address facing towards Foxholes Road and left the keys in ignition as a mechanic will be carrying out an MOT at the garage next door. The victim went inside his address and as the mechanic was writing down the chassis number the offender jumped into vehicle and drove off towards Foxholes Road.

Burglary - Bamford Way, Rochdale at 2.15pm on 31 July.
Two offenders pull up outside the house pretending to be making a delivery. First male approaches the door carrying a parcel, gets no reply and invites a second male to get out of the car. The offenders go round to the rear of the address and smash the rear French door to gain access. They conducted an untidy search of the dining area and discarded a latex glove in hallway before proceeding upstairs. Upstairs an offender left blood on the newel post and conducted an untidy search including the loft space. The offenders stole nothing.

Burglary Other – Inglefield, Norden, Rochdale between 111:00pm & 11:15pm on 3 August.
Three unknown offenders forced open an external garage shutter door to front of the address. They tampered with a motorcycle and caused this to fall to the floor causing damage. The offender/s took other items and were disturbed by owner and made off out of garage door towards Brooks End and out of sight.

Theft from Motor Vehicle – Hibson Avenue, Norden, Rochdale between 11:00pm on 30 July & 09:45am on 31 July.
Unknown offender/s approached a locked and secure vehicle parked on the drive way and gained entry to the vehicle by unknown means and without causing any damage. Once inside offender/s removed items and made off  an unknown direction.

Theft from Motor Vehicle – between 01:00am & 06:00am on 29 July.
Unknown offender approached a locked and secure taxi parked up on the street outside the owner’s home address, gained access without causing any damage and removed a sat nav system, a mobile phone used to send job data to the driver and a quantity of change.

Burglary Dwelling – Molyneux Street, Rochdale between 3:15pm & 3:45pm on 1 August.
Unknown offender/s climbed over the rear alley gates to the ginnel at the rear and gained access to the rear yard of the property via an insecure gate and prised open the rear window using an unknown implement and also damaged the bottom pane of the window in the process. The offender/s conducted an untidy search of the property including the loft space. The offenders took items from the property and exit as per entry and escaped in an unknown direction unseen.

Theft of a Vehicle – Tesco Express, Whitworth Road, Healey between 11:00am & 12:00noon on 31 July.
Unknown offender/s approach a locked and secure vehicle and causing no damage gained entry to the vehicle and drove off in it. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Spinners Green.

Burglary Dwelling – Upton (Tweedale Street) Freehold, Rochdale between 11:30am – 3:00pm on 31 July.
Offender/s approached a property and caused damage to the rear ground floor window cracking both panes of the double glazed unit. It is unclear if the offenders managed to gain entry through window but there was no other clear damage to premises. The offenders gained access and removed items; making off in a direction unknown.

Burglary Dwelling – Tekoa House, Walker Street, Rochdale between 12:00noon and 3:00pm on 28 July.
Unknown offender/s entered the communal entrance hall of a flat block via an insecure front door. Offender/s entered a flat via an insecure front door and removed a mobile phone and charger from a plug socket. The offender/s exited as entry making good their escape.

Burglary Other – Inkspiration, Drake Street, Rochdale between midnight on 27 July and 6:20am on 28 July.
Unknown offender/s approached the property from the rear and used an unknown implement force rear door, enter the property and steal items after conducting untidy search before making off.
