Millions for affordable homes

Rochdale is receive a £4.6m government cash injection for the development of more affordable homes across the borough.
The money, announced by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), will help deliver 179 affordable new homes for rent.
The cash has been allocated through the Affordable Homes Programme 2015-18, following a competitive bidding process, to registered housing providers Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, Guinness Northern Counties and the Regenda Housing Group.
The locations of the new sites are:
- Kirkholt Estate, Rochdale
- Lower Falinge Estate, Rochdale
- Newbold Estate, Rochdale
- Smallbridge Estate, Rochdale
- Longridge Drive, Heywood
- Hill Street, Heywood
- Ramsey Terrace, Rochdale
