Scott Williams raises over £13,000 in a 62 mile bike ride for Brain Tumour Charity

Scott Williams, from Heywood, has raised an incredible £13,000 in a 62-mile bike ride from Manchester to Blackpool in remembrance of his wife, Vicky Williams.
Vicky Williams, 34, died in March, whilst heavily pregnant, from an undiagnosed brain tumour.
In a tribute to his wife and unborn child, Scott and his friends embarked on the bike ride on 13 July to help raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.
Scott said: “When we were thinking of ideas to try and raise money for the charity, my friend mentioned this particular bike ride. I had always fancied the challenge so it seemed fitting to do it.”
“It took everyone up to seven hours to finish, but it was an incredible day.”
Scott said that he is hoping to complete a 100 or 150 mile bike ride next summer for the charity, and he is in the stages of planning future events.
Scott’s original goal was to raise £10,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity before the end of the year, but he has already smashed that goal by collected over £13,000.
“To raise £20,000 would be amazing. I’m always pushing myself to do more to help raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity,” Scott added.
