Recent RBH new build at Longridge Drive, Heywood
More new affordable homes for local people are in the pipeline after Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) were awarded £1.67m in grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
The new grant is from the HCA Affordable Homes Programme for 2015-18 and will allow RBH to develop 79 new homes for affordable rent across the Borough.
RBH already has a track record of developing high-quality new family homes and housing for older people, and this new development is in addition to the current development programme which has seen new homes built and under construction across the Borough.
The 79 new homes will be a mixture of two and three bedroom family houses, bungalows and apartments for older people, located at a number of sites including Kirkholt, Smallbridge, Lower Falinge and Heywood.
Gemma Glossop, RBH Development Project Manager, said: “Our new homes to date have been well received by the community and this new funding awarded by the Homes and Communities Agency will allow us to continue to develop high-quality homes for affordable rent for local people, and we look forward to sharing our plans with the community in the near future”
