Siege in Milnrow

Just before 1.00am today, police attended a property on Cornfield Street, Milnrow following concern for welfare for the 41-year-old man who lives there.
The man was alleged to have been hiding in the roof of the house and threatening to jump off.
Police and Emergency services were called to the house and the street was closed to all traffic. Residents were advised to stay indoors.
Officers attended the scene and found that the man had barricaded himself in the loft of the property and was refusing to come out.
At around 9:30am the incident was resolved and the man was detained.
