Have your say at a GP Services open day

Date published: 23 May 2008

As part of a public consultation to decide what services will be provided in new GP surgeries and a new health centre, Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Primary Care Trust (HMRPCT) will be hitting the streets to hear what you think.

Areas of the Rochdale Borough are set to get new GP practices, as well as a new GP-led health centre, as part of a Borough-wide strategy to improve healthcare in areas with the most health need. New GP practices will be located in Smallbridge & Wardle, Central Rochdale & Falinge areas, as well as another in Heywood and a new GP-led health centre in Middleton. All of these facilities will provide the normal services expected from a GP surgery but the PCT also wants to include a range of additional services depending on the health needs of each area.

The consultation events are open to all members of the public. You will have the chance to speak with the consultation team and learn more about the new services. You will also have the opportunity to give your views and complete a feedback form.

Consultation teams will be at the following locations:

  • 27 May- Middleton Bus Station, 1pm-5pm
  • 29 May- Castlemere Community Centre, 1pm-5pm
  • 4 May- Heywood Magic Rooms, 10am-4pm
  • 9 June- Wardle Library, 1:30pm-5pm

You can also complete the questionnaire online at:
