Jussara Catila, age 8, has won a poster competition to highlight the blight of dog fouling in the Freehold area. Her winning design will be displayed across the local area.
Jussara won a prize of shopping vouchers as did runner-up, ten-year-old Teegan Smithies.
Dog fouling was raised as a key concern in Freehold during the RBH “Our Place” consultation, which is an opportunity for local residents to identify areas where RBH tenants and employees can work together to improve local communities. RBH and the Freehold Community Group organised the poster competition to highlight and to help tackle this concern.
Mary Wood, RBH Manager for the Freehold area, said: “The young people who live on Freehold have shown a real commitment to improving their local environment. It was really difficult to pick a winner in the poster competition and we are looking forward to the posters making a positive difference in the area."
