Rochdale Council Cabinet meeting – Monday 14 July
The cabinet approved the budget guidelines and timetable to be used in preparing the detailed budget for 2015/2016.
Over the next two years, the council needs to make savings of £51 million.
Key arrangements including a council tax freeze for 2015/2016, provisions for a one per cent pay award and zero per cent inflation on supplies and services have been approved.
The 2014 local government pension scheme is discussed next.
Councillor Neil Emmott states that the council are following guidelines outlined by central government.

The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Supreme Court decision is next.
The report is brought to cabinet to inform councillors of the local impact of implications of the recent Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Supreme Court and for decisions to be made about releasing pressure monies to implement the local action needed in response.
