Janice Bray, starting a University of the Third Age in Littleborough
The University of the Third Age will be holding a start up meeting in Littleborough on 21 July.
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a learning co-operative of retired and semi-retired people. U3A provide educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment for older citizens.
Janice Bray has organised the meeting and said: “I believe there is a need for a U3A group in Littleborough as it is a growing community.
"There is already a U3A group in Rochdale but that can be hard to get to for some older people, so we want to bring it closer to home.
"We want people who are interested in participating in the group to come to the launch meeting on 21 July to express their thoughts.”
The meeting will be held at 2.00pm on 21 July at The Coach House, Littleborough.
