Councillor Rush said: “I am very pleased with the total raised and I am very grateful to all of my committee and the people who have
supported this fundraising. I have received 100% respect from people and I couldn’t have asked for a better year.
“I am proud to have risen as much as we have done and I am very grateful to everyone who was part of my mayoral year.”
Councillor Rush is starting to allocate the money to his chosen charities with cheques and donations being presented soon.
