Littleborough Community Primary School students visit to Aviemore

Littleborough Community Primary School students took a trip to Aviemore in Scotland in June.

The students visited places such as the Highland Folk Museum, where they learnt about life in the Highlands and living in a croft; a working sheep dog farm, where they could watch the dogs at work and cuddle 8 week old pups; and also Fort George, where students could watch soldiers going about their daily chores.

The group had a cruise on Loch Ness where they learned about the many sightings and searches for Nessie. Even a few of the children maintain they saw the monster on the lake!

On their last day, the pupils participated in a ‘Go Ape’ style course at the Landmark Centre. Some students attempted the climbing wall and free fall, while others enjoyed the many water slides and rollercoasters at the centre.

At the end of the week, the group travelled home with plenty of tired children and staff, but a fantastic time was had by all.
