Springy ready for the Springhill Hospice Pyjama Parade
The Hospice’s new community services will start from Tuesday 1 July following the official launch today (Friday 27 June). This will see the Hospice responsible for all palliative care across Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton.
Suzanne Ryder will start on Monday as Retail Relief for the Hospice. This role will see her float between shops in the borough.
A team from the Hospice will be at the Heywood 1940s day tomorrow (Saturday 28 June) with a tombola.
The former Craven Heifer which is the new fundraising offices for the Hospice is still being renovated. A new kitchen is due to be fitted this weekend with the Hospice fundraising team stating that they are “settling in nicely”.
Dates for the Diary
Saturday 5 July
Dragon Boat Race – Organised by the Round Table, the event will see teams compete in dragon boat races on Hollingworth Lake to raise money for the Hospice. The event starts at 10.00am and runs until approximately 4.30pm.
Saturday 12 July
Pyjama Walk – The Hospice is preparing for its first pyjama walk which will be held in palace of the midnight walk. Walkers will leave from the Craven Heifer on Broad Lane at 9.30pm.
