Donations welcome towards a hamper for 90-year-old woman who was assaulted

Date published: 26 June 2014

Kirsty Buxton, from Shelly B’s Café in Rochdale, has decided to set up a hamper for the 90-year-old woman who was assaulted in Rochdale this week.

Kirsty said: “I run an online forum called ‘I Love Rochdale’ and a lot of people were commenting that they wanted to do something for the lady who was assaulted.

"We decided to set up a food hamper for her, so she doesn’t have to leave her home to get some shopping.

"We’re looking for anything from tins to tea bags to fill the hamper.”

Donations are welcome from the general public or local businesses and can be dropped off at Shelly B’s Café on Drake Street, Rochdale.

Kirsty would like to thank everyone in advance for their consideration and support.
