Rebecca Fitton has nailed second place in a national hair and beauty competition with her ‘Frozen’ nails and beauty look.

The 24 year old, from Heywood, competed at the UK Skills competition earlier this month with a unique interpretation of the competition theme ‘Once Upon A Time’.

Rebecca chose to use the Disney movie hit ‘Frozen’ as her inspiration and she created 3D nails, hair and make-up as well as designing the models costume as she was being judged on the total look.

Rebeccasaid: “At first I was unsure whether to take part as I only started using acrylics in September so I didn’t think I would be able to achieve such an elaborate nail design. I am now really glad that entered the competition and am so proud to have won second place.”

Rebecca’s tutor at Hopwood Hall College, Vicky Kielthy, said: “The competition is one of the biggest in the UK. Rebecca competed against 10 other colleges from around the country and did amazingly well. She worked really hard on her 3D creative nail designs and used her nails to tell the story of her chosen theme. We are really proud of Rebecca, she is a very creative student and this competition has allowed her to develop as a nail technician.”
