Congratulations go to Year 5 who have been selected for the final round of the Primary Engineer National Finals 2014, which is due to take place on Thursday 3 July at Smithills School, Bolton.

In both the under 11 and under 10 Rochdale Swimming Finals Beech House were places sixth.

Congratulations go Luke Ashworth who became the under 11 freestyle champion.

Individual success also went to Luke Buterworth and Daniel Rigg who picked up bronze medals in the under 11 backstroke and under 10 freestyle respectively.

The boys under 11 relay team overcame disappointment of being disqualified in a medal winning position in the medley relay by winning a silver medal in the freestyle event.

The team consisted of Luke Ashworth, Luke Buterworth, Deazel Fairhurst and Callum Salford.

The House Point totals are: Jupiter 46, Mercury 27, Saturn 26 & Neptune 23

Year 5 – Rania Mazhar
Year 6 – Elana El-Hage
