Tickets for our forthcoming ‘Tex Mex Arts Quiz Night’ on the 8 July 2014 are available directly from school. The event features fun activities for families and friends of the school and takes place from 6pm until 8pm on the Science Terrace (weather permitting) in school. There will be a wide range of Mexican inspired food available (including vegetarian options). For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact Mr De Courcey or Mr Wilcock.

Letters for our forthcoming Creative and Literacy Learning Summer School are to be issued to selected learners in Year 6 this week. Please note that this summer school is funded directly by the government and there are specific criteria for places. Further information is available from our school website or by contacting Mr De Courcey directly in school.

We are now in the process of planning our provision for next year and we are delighted to announce our intention to stage ‘Hairspray: The Musical’ in November 2014. Auditions for the principal parts have now taken place but if you wish to be considered and were absent recently then please see Ms Williams or Mr Mvula as a matter of urgency.

Arts Award Portfolio Assessment will take place on Thursday 24th of July from 9.30am for our Year 11 students who have recently undertaken Silver or Gold qualifications. A letter will be issued shortly to invite learners to attend interview on that day with the assessor. If you require more time to complete portfolio work, then please speak with your Arts Award teacher.

We are planning to release several 'Arts Takeaway' Kits to students in Years 7 and 8 over the Summer holidays. The packs contain activities for students to undertake and a small challenge to accomplish, proving ideal to combat any boredom experienced over the Summer break. For more details or register an expression of interest, please see Mr De Courcey.

Our C.A.L.L. Showcase based on language and living in the future and titled 'Insert Text Here', takes place on Wednesday 2nd of July 2014 from 2.30pm until 4.15pm in the Heartspace. The event will be open to parents and families to showcase the creative work of our Year 7 students. For more details, please contact your child's C.A.L.L. teacher.
